I’m famous for never finishing a book.

I have a habit of concocting a great idea, getting maybe 20 pages in, and then losing interest. It has taken me many years to fathom a story so good, even I couldn’t stop writing it.

Fortunately for me, The Lost Pleiad is that book.

The Lost Pleiad and NaNoWriMo

Kelly Branyik and her Pleiadian Book during NaNoWriMo

The Lost Pleiad is a science fiction Pleiadian book. This story of self-discovery is one I think many Starseeds out there can resonate with.

I started writing The Lost Pleiad for November 2020’s NaNoWriMo, a writing challenge that encourages authors to write 50,000 words in just 30 days.

I had attempted NaNoWriMo a few years in a row after hearing about it in 2017 from a friend of mine named Randy.

Each idea failed miserably until I came to this story, one that rolled around in my head for several years.

I spent many hours in the month of November meeting that goal. Exceeding it actually.

The story is still in progress but ready to publish sooner than you think.

How do you Say ‘Pleiad’?

How to Pronounce Pleiad - Kelly Branyik

One of the criticisms of this title has been how to say Pleiad.

I’ll help you out with that.

More simply, Pleiad and Pleiades are pronounced in the following ways

plee-ad

plee-uh-dees or plee-ay-dees

It’s pretty easy, but if you still need the audio, you can listen to the pronunciation for Pleiad here.

What Inspired The Lost Pleiad?

Pleiades Constellation - Kelly Branyik

I’m a BIG lover of stars.

I stare at them any time I’m outside at night. I am absolutely fascinated with how much we just don’t know about the big universe out there.

This year, I’ve jumped headfirst into learning more about our Universe. More so than any other year of my life.

The Lost Pleiad is unique because unlike other constellations in the sky, Pleiades (or the Seven Sisters) isn’t as widely talked about as others like Orion’s Belt, the Big Dipper, or Cassiopeia.

When you look into the sky, you actually have to look hard for Pleiades. However, once you actually find the constellation, you never forget its place in the sky.

Pleiades is one of my favorite constellations. Because of my love for it, I have built up this story in my head talking about this woman’s love for the stars.

The Lost Pleiad Synopsis

Desperate to understand her connection to the cosmos, Anya Allen embarks on a journey to discover who she is and where she belongs. Stargazing has been a life-long hobby for Anya but there is one constellation she favors above all others. The Pleiades.

Her introspective curiosity and online research of the star cluster awakens her to the possibility she might not be from planet Earth. How can that be?

Motivated to understand her place, Anya seeks assistance from a duo of lightworkers, who introduce her to metaphysical travels. As her abilities to move between two worlds intensifies, so does a budding romantic bond with one person who knows her better than anyone, Sam. Their deep love threatens to disrupt her desires to visit a world unknown.

Through a series of interstellar travels, Anya finally learns where she belongs. But which world is she actually destined to live in?

When Will The Lost Pleiad be Released?

As said above, The Lost Pleiad is still in progress, but it is projected to release this year, in 2021.

A more official release date will be available in the coming months.

That is all I have to report for now. If I give too much away, you won’t read it later.

Be on the lookout for more updates and official news on this book and its release!
