Dear Universe by Sarah Prout is possibly one of my favorite books out there.

I have placed it on the books shelf right next to my copy of You Can Heal Your Heart by Louise Hay and Animal Speak and Animal Wise by Ted Andrews.

Dear Universe is one I reference constantly, just like the other three I mentioned above. And there are so many reasons to love it if you need to restore balance in your crazy life sometimes.

There are so many reasons to love this book and to buy it. But there are a few questions I want to answer first.

What is Emotional Empowerment?

Dear Universe Book Review by Sarah Prout

By large, people struggle with facing and embracing their emotions. But many masters like Sarah Prout, Louise L. Hay, and Barbara Marciniak are saying the best way to achieve emotional empowerment is to embrace your emotions and go through them.

Meaning, no holding back those tears, no holding back how you feel, but letting them be a part of you.

Sarah Prout helps you love yourself and your life with her many insightful teachings. And she doesn’t just preach it. Her own personal story is hard proof that empowering herself emotionally has brought her to a much more fulfilled, loving, and happier life.

We are indoctrinated to believing certain things about ourselves, many of which can be very negative. We learn how to judge ourselves and not love ourselves by what the world around us tells us. After years of hearing the same thing from society and even our closest kin, we develop negative thoughts toward ourselves that can stick with us for the rest of our lives.

Sarah Prout is intent on breaking you out of these negative mindsets.

What is Dear Universe?

First of all, this is a beautiful book cover, and the interior is even more beautiful.

If you haven’t watched the video above yet, Dear Universe is Sarah Prout’s book of 200 Mini-Manifestations. It is designed to help you shift your thinking from a more negative feeling to a more positive one.

By incorporating this book into your life and your routine, you have the ability to start retraining your brain. This helps you be more loving, kinder, and more positive toward yourself when looking inward.

We all have tendencies where we are too hard on ourselves or judge ourselves for the choices we make. But with this book, you can change all of that. It will take consistent practice, but it will be worth it.

3 Reasons I Love Dear Universe.

Prout has sectioned this book off into two different parts. One half of the book is a myriad of the negative feelings we experience in life. Anything from angry to sad to hopeless, to literally any negative thought in between.

1. Sarah Shares Her Experience

Each emotion detailed in this book is met with Sarah’s own positive or negative story. I love this because it gives you a chance to relate. And sometimes relating is what gives us a sense of belonging.

By sharing her stories, she gives us permission to acknowledge the places in our lives where we feel the deepest emotion.

2. Manifestations for Negative Feelings

Instead of focusing on the negative you’re feeling, she provides you with an uplifting story of her own and then a positive manifestation to help you shift away from negativity.

When said with pure intent, this can work wonders for you spiritually and emotionally.

3. Manifestations for Positive Feelings

The second part of the book has been reserved for positive manifestations.

Yes!

She wants you to embrace the bad feelings as well as the good. Take any lovely and positive feeling your’s experiencing and give it an extra book of positivity with her positive manifestations.

How Dear Universe Has Helped Me

I have used this book on a variety of occasions. But one that I recall was when I was experiencing an intense heartbreak after my last relationship ended.

I was absolutely wrecked by the relationship ending. Somedays, it was so intensely painful, I thought my emotions would split me open, or shatter me into a million pieces.

When I had the opportunity to be quiet and figure out what emotions I was feeling, anger, disappointment, sadness, resentment, guilt, shame, I was able to go to this book, find the word, and read the manifestation out loud to myself.

On the flipside, I have used this book to remind me how grateful I am for my life and all that has been given to me. So I spend just as much time reading the positive manifestations to tell the universe how I appreciate it.

The key to really embracing Dear Universe is understanding the Law of Attraction. The basic concept is, “What you give out is what you get back.” So if you are in constant negativity, that is what you will get in return. If you are looking at life and seeing the abundance in it, you will get that in return.

It is daunting, know you have that much power within you, but it was the key to Sarah Prout building the life she has built. She shifted her mindset and has thus become a beacon of hope for this striving to do the same.
