To those deeply maddened by the empty and meaningless thoughts and prayers people keep flinging at what happened in Minnesota (end every other state). Let me remind you of something before you go insane with fury…
The ones who should care, and the ones who have the power to change this, don’t care.
They DON’T CARE.
They never do, never have, and never will.
There is something wrong with their brains. Like, sociopathically and sadistically wrong. Just look at their unapologetic demonstrations of approval for the mass unaliving of sweet babies in the Strip. They defend that deeply misguided lust for gore and cruelty by proudly waving flags in their front yards. They go out of their way to support it. They GET OFF on seeing people suffer and die.
They cannot be saved. They don’t want to be saved.
I know that’s not what you want to hear. And I’m sure you’re telling yourself, “If it happens to them, and it’s their child in a body bag or beneath the rubble, they’ll change their mind.”
No they won’t.
They could be holding their soaking red child in their arms while they go see whatever they call God—all as hot metal soars through trees, windows, and flesh in the coziest neighborhood—and still, they would ask for a 21 gun salute at the funeral.
They. Do. Not. Care.
And you’re wasting your time thinking they ever will. And again, I’m so sorry because I know that’s not what you want to hear. I know you refuse for it to be true. For a long time, so did I. I had such undying hope that someday, somehow, they would realize that none of this is right. But they won’t.
This hate, this ugliness is a starving and unyielding parasite and it is everywhere. It is inescapable.
You can’t just move to another country and never see it in your peripherals. That ugly is always there and lurking.
Stop waiting for these people to grow a moral backbone.
Stop waiting for unaliver sympathizers to come around and heal that darkness within them.
Stop expecting benevolence and compassion from them.
You will be disappointed every single time.
No words or solutions are empowering enough to help us through this.
Keep your clear head high and loving heart whole. Do what is within your control with great, abiding care for others. Do it until you’ve left this earth. With any luck, that vibration will ripple into the future and never be… this… again.
